Crohn's Disease
Crohn's Disease is a chronic inflammatory disease at the lower end of small intestine or the start of the large intestine can also be involved.
The most common symptoms are intermittent attacks of diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, and weight loss.
Some patients can have a blockage or ulcer in the adjacent area via fistulas (abnormal connection between two organs or vessels that normally do not connect).
There are also some patients who experience skin rashes, arthritis, and inflammation of the eyes. In severe cases there can also be bleeding of the bowel.
The real cause of Crohn's disease has not been identified yet. But it has been found it could be related to infection by a virus or bacteria, food poisoning, or emotional stress.
